IIRC, that thing is a lot of big gain stages slammed together.I get that a lot of people are anti master volume, but without one, EQD might as well have done away with the footswitch. The volume leap was so pronounced at anything past 9 o clock that you're not going to be switching it on and off unless you're running it into other maxed or near-maxed gain stages, apart from when you stop/start playing.

It's getting me closer to that Black Dog/No Quarter guitar sound I've always been fascinated with, especially if you capture it direct in addition to the amp. Fun!Man, I knew this pedal did that direct guitar sound but never thought about the connection to those Zep sounds. I was thinking it did Beatles sounds. I ll keep an eye out for one cheap.

Picked up a second-hand Lovepedal Les Lius and finally had the opportunity to play it at volume the other day. Sounds fantastic! Gets right in those corners of dirty natural drive that I love. Having basically no controls is a huge bonus to me - too many options for tone make me uncomfortable/anxious. It sounds good, it has a second switch to get louder, it works really well with my Silvertone and the gold foil in my weird guitar. Cool.
