I thought about this thread after hearing a Lemonheads song on the radio and finding myself powerless to do anything about it.
I don’t like the band as a whole, but this is Details magazine-era Lemonheads we’re talking about. None of it should appeal to me, but more than none of it does.
It’s a Shame About Ray does not set a foot wrong. Even is kind of an honorary Australian too - writes songs about Sydney neighbourhoods and Alison’s Starting to Happen is about Alison from Smudge who worked at Waterfront for years. A band full of Sydney in-jokes. Good times

Hey now, "It's a Shame About Ray" is a great rekkid.
I'll even turn the radio up if the cover of Mrs Robinson comes on.

I've never heard It's A Shame About Ray, but I really like Car Button Cloth. 'If I Could Talk I'd Tell You' is a gem.

The first Linkin Park album, the first couple of Korn albums (I was not in my teens when any of those came out).
I enjoy Korn for sure.

Both great. 'Tenderfoot' is my jam from CBC.

"Everlong" by Foo Fighters is a good song. "My Hero" is a GREAT song. Foo Fighters have a very 90s MTV rock sound which is what normally has put me off them. In these songs there is a clear third wave emo vibe which I like but it has to be just right to work. In the latter the sound is much punchier than I expect from similar music, which also is nice. Then I heard "Walk" which is on the boring and cheesy side. So I guess we'll see.

The opening guitar riff to John Fogerty's Centerfield is something I should have learned just to do at a soundcheck to mess with people.
I don't really like the song, but still appreciate the riff.

Maaaaan this is dorky. This band had some guitar parts I liked, and I think they're funny and I like their style, I thought the music was obvious bullshit, but I'm actually starting to like this song.
