There's an old thread on them, but it doesn't have a lot of info. I would check those out if looking for cheaper cymbals.my only cymbal is a 22 SR2 ride. i think it was a recycled HH or HHX. thing, dark and very crasheable. i really like it. i would love to get some SR2 hi-hats but you can't get those here

Hat-wise, i often suggest trying out Sabians B8-Pro 13 hats. They are incredibly cheap, but very versatile and sound absolutely great.

I really like my SR2 18 Med Crash.I've had it for two years, it sounds great and it cost me $100. You can't really go wrong.

I used to own a 22" Earth Ride. It was kinda cool, just don't expect to crash on it at all..Zach Barocas from Jawbox played an Earth Ride on those records. It can be a neat sound, but not for everything or everyone.(for a non-drummer, I've owned a fuckload of cymbals..)

I'm about to check out a 21 Zildjian A Sweet ride on CL for $150 in almost new condition. Any opinions on this? I'm pretty inexperienced with cymbal shopping.

That's my exact ride. I paid $300 for it new (I think), so as long as it doesn't break next week, you got a pretty good deal.

I had a 21 Sweet Ride before I sold my old drum kit, and I fully intend on buying one again. Fantastic all-around ride, does everything you need it to. I love 'em to bits.
