Greg Hildebrandt. And all this time I thought "KILL OZZY" at the bottom corner of the album cover to Mob Rules was intentional shade from the band when it's just one of those pareidolias. Like, I expressly remember that rumor going around as a freshman in high school that the blood on the ground of the cover spells "KILL OZZY." Weird how shit like that used to travel via word-of-mouth.

The USA is survived by....

...wait, there won't be any survivors. This is a very large step in a line of dominoes that ends with our extinction. Whether it is the axiomatic spasm of a nuclear escalation in the war in Europe that takes us out, or catastrophic climate change that renders organized human civilization impossible, or a pandemic that we will eagerly expose our throats to, we just crossed the point of no return. What this administration and their oligarchic masters are going to accomplish in the next four years will be insurmountable.

If you disagree or think I am just being pessimistic because it's so fresh, please tell me what stands in their way now.

No disagreeing here. By my numbers 60% of the voting US is functionally fascist. Fuck having anything to do with that.

Original Cleveland punk rocker, Velvet Undergound superfan, genuine oddball, and perennial fringe rock 'n roll extraordinaire Jamie Klimek has passed away. He fronted the Mirrors - upping what Lou Reed and Co. did with a hefty dose of volume and power - and also co-led the Styrenes, whose quirks and left hooks predicted new wave with an uncanny accuracy. Jamie wrote dozens of mini masterpieces, never quite getting the flowers he deserved, but at least he lived to see his musical accomplishments go back in print.

Rest in peace

Rest easy Tony Todd. If you haven't watched the talky sci-fi banger The Man from Earth then you should.
