I'm pleased to see Thymme Jones getting some mentions. Always has a good swinging feel, plays in and around with some crazy arrangements, uses a lot of HUMOR and does it playing a righty kit open handed.

Have not seen him live, but the drum playing on Bill Frisell's "Where in the World" album, by Joey Baron, is phenomenal.

I like the fact that he's taken to placing a cinderblock inside his bass drum.

I used to drive nails right into the stage when I could get away with it.
