Looks kinda awesome to me. I wonder if there is a product with heatshrink rings bearing letters so you can pair up jacks? "AA", "AB", "AC" etc.
I suppose the alternative is self-splicing short run cables to minimise the descending loops.

The reason is you're actually making music and not basking in the ultimate cleanliness of your battlestation

Dude I fight that shit so hard. That isn't even that bad. No matter how hard I try to bundle stuff and group stuff and use shortest runs ETC... It's always spaghetti when I'm done. Unsolvable problem for me. Heather is going out of town for a week and I intend to gut and rewire everything while she is gone. It will take the entire week, and a lot of late nights. Still gong to be a disaster in the end, but I have a bunch of dead stuff tangled up that needs to go.

Velcro and cotton tie line is your friend. No zip ties. Always use something you can easily undo and tidy back up.

Tomorrow is always the day where you can finally get those cables under control...

Thanks, yall, its usually a bit tidier than that, but this was at the end of a mix with pretty much all the outboard being used and most of my groups and channels being used up. I try to use the right length cable w/o stress or too much slack, but by the end I’m using whatever I’ve got left.

I’ll try to look for some kind cable tie solution w/o velcro. I hate that stuff

OK, if you mean the old fashioned Velcro, which we started to put on our sneakers somewhere around 1982, OK. Those can develop little afro dust bunny balls and lose their stickiness which can be unpleasant. But the more modern "short hair" velcro cable ties with a loop? Those are Not Crap, my friend.

A colleague shared this photo of D. Boon's amp at the Punk Museum in Vegas.

Did we already know DB was a Brother in Torlex?
