They were the only team that we already knew guys on, so they were actually pretty happy for us. The celebration was remarkable and is often in my thoughts. Electrons who weren't even at the game were called and showed up at the bar afterwards to party with us. Unbelievable.
Yup, from what I've seen. the Red Sox appear to be a class team (like the Electrons, of course) which is rare in this league.
As for us, we're working on it.
Hope you guys had a good tryout. We scrimmaged [half of] a Midwest Suburban League team that day and didn't look too awful ourselves. It should be a fun season.

Salut, Simply Ray's, R.I.P.!
I recently ran into Ray. He was bartending somewhere in North Center. He was wearing a very loud, obnoxious shirt. In fact, it was precisely this one:
He claims he is buying or opening a bar in the area within a year or so.
I doubt it, but it was good to see him.
Not really.

Thanks gio, tryouts were great. One of the best players didn't make it cause people thought that he was an asshole/homophobe. I love that about our team.
I wish you the best.

I'd go with
Snitches - "Tattling" on someone violates some important principle, but I can't remember which one. The stool pigeon who would curry favor with oppressive authorities by passing information regarding a righteous fugitive freedom fighter? Or the whistleblower calling bullshit on a powerful criminal? Snitching is probably more often the former than the latter.
Snoops - Violates the Burroughs principle that separates the Shits from the Johnsons. Still, I get paid to do this from time to time. The private investigator defines the good and the bad on the snoop.
Frat Boys - There are acceptable reasons for being a snitch or a snoop. There are no acceptable reasons for joining a fraternity.

Burroughs appropriated this principle from the book "You Can't Win," by Jack Black (not that Jack Black).
Back to these base-balls.

I still laugh my ass off every time I read these words/this made up band name. I was going to post this in the other thread, but:
I work with a woman whose last name is Curry. Through our work mail, she had asked me to set up an LCD projector for her. The subject was, "Favor". But the way it was listed in my mailbox, it read "Curry: Favor".
Fucking beautiful.
Ok,
now back to these bases-balls.
I'll start us back:
Based on an email that coach AlBStern sent today, 6-4-3 is officially a Winnemac Electron! Congratulations, and salut! to 6-4-3!!!
