No shit. I have guitars with both. My SG-90 itself has both types.

I've found some of my amps sound like crap with single coils, great with humbuckers and vice-versa.

Crap. They feel like wind-up toys in the hands. Never understood the affinity people have for this guitar. I must admit, a lot of good guitarists use them.

I have an SG and a Travis TB500 and love both equally. The SG is a cheap Gibson Special with both pick-ups replaced, bridge a "modern" Airzone and the neck's PAF "vintage". It's a great versatile workhorse and I love it, light, nice wide neck and has that "woody" feel that makes playing it a totally different instrument from the Travis... and it sounds great through an old single valve amp a la Fugazi.

Not crap.

not crap

they are easy to play, but yeah they go out of tune far too often and they can snap at the neck easily.

Les Pauls IMO are more glam metal guitars, I was never glamorous enough to play one.

Wow. I just found "Let it Be" on Youtube. Both parts.

I remember when you'd have to give a $250 deposit just to rent this piece of shit on VHS.

Now go bring Granny her pipe!

EDIT: Oh. Nevermind. Its audio is out of synch with the video.

Why even go thru with the trouble? Jesus.

I've never played an SG that I like better than my Guild S-100.

A guy in Chicago has 3 S-100s for sale right now.
