Young Bands That You Do Not Know
23Since I found a way to promote our band without appearing too pathetic, here's a band from Helsinki, Finland. The band is called Fun. We have played about 50 gigs, recorded an EP and done two tours in Europe. We are releasing an LP in spring and touring again next summer (hint!).

24The Natural Dreamers.
This is a side project of Deerhoof gtrists Chris and John. Jay from Dilute is on drums. They put out a CD on the Frenetic label that is maybe the best example of "post-Magic Band" interlocking gtr stupendousness..ever? Many folks on these boards would love this record. I have not seen one review of it in any on or offline 'zine/publicaton.

25I need to second the Bible of the Devil vote: I've been friends with these guys for a long time, ...great people. if you're anywhere near chicago, or they come through your town on any of their 6 or 7 annual tours, go see them. "balls deep, mountain high" "kicking birth" "victory bringer"

28Here's a very young band I recorded. They are all brothers and the drummer is 11. See for yourself.

Unfortunately there is no music on the site, but trust me, they are excellent. They have a song called 'Guardrail' in which one member plays a huge highway guardrail. I don't know where they got it from but I think I used a pair of Oktava ML19's.
Also, if you like Thin Lizzy and stuff like that, I give you Castle, from Brooklyn, NY.

Yonkers, NY's General Miggs have an astoundingly good tune called 'Probably' which I was lucky enough to record for them.

Trust me, folks. This is real good shit. Go on, have a taste.

29I didn't post this before because he's not new or young. But Jewish heavy metal should take over the world:

search by category: "Jewish Heavy Metal Music".
Or for a crash course in Pesach Chaim's oeuvre, all manner of Jewish guitar playing and an in depth expose of "the Jewish Jimi Hendrix", not to mention maybe the most entertaining half hour in radio history listen to this radio show. Here's the playlist.
