Liz/Noise&Light seems like she feels pretty strong about it. Reading it as I just did I must admit I feel pretty strong about it as well, even though I feel like I know Amanda pretty okay-enough and don't think of her as racist, (those comments about Asians, though...wow).
It's terribly wrong to discount how a person feels. If anyone of a Hispanic origin takes offense at what she posted, even if the statement is perceived by the "offender" as benign, then perhaps instead of dictating to the insulted party how they are false, wrong, or being too sensitive, maybe one should step out of their own comfort zone and at least try to be empathetic.
I'm not trying to be a smart-ass here, well, maybe just a little, but it must really be fabulous to be white. Seriously.
