Since we're delving into the use of epithets here, maybe we should talk about the frequent use of the word "cunt" on this forum.

I have a feeling that it's use at times has offended at least some of the female members of our forum, and may in fact have driven some away.

I do realize that it is more of a generalized insult in some places than others. I do know that if I were to say it in the presence of most women I know, they would be highly offended.

Not trying to stir things up, I just think it is worth talking about since we are on the subject of words that may be contrued as generalizing about and demeaning whole groups of people.

Apparently not Mandroid by Chinese people in whatever part of town. That only applies to when you are in the white world or the white part of town. Go to South Gate or Watts and see how you get treated. Of course, it's for a reason. It's a white, rich world. Everyone else is just living in it.

LA People, please tell me the real reason why there are basically NO black people living above 3rd street or so. There must be some historical event or reasoning behind this. It can't be just money because there are plenty of Mexican families all the way up to Sunset and east towards the stadium and have been for decades.

I could give a rip about "cunt" but if someone said that around my mother, or to a dear girlfriend, I would be tempted to rip their balls off. Or dish out a cunt punt, as it were.

The point is, fuck anyone who makes one person/family/neighborhood an example of what a culture/gender is tolerant of. That's just as juvenile as stereotyping an entire race because of a handful of incidents that inconvenienced or even scared you.

We're trying to live in a got-damn society here, people. There is always time for some got-damn decency and some got-damn learning.

Hispanic or Latino of any race were 48.47% of the population, with Mexican Americans representing 44.3%.

Agreed, some manners and simple consideration for the feelings of others is something we all need to work on at times.

We also need to realize we all make mistakes, say stupid things that imply something we didn't intend to imply, and realize we can get past that.
