Damn, thanks for telling me, I'm gonna check that one out for sure.

Has anyone ever heard another bass player doing "tapping" in the way Gibson does it? Such beautiful melodies, played through such a monstrous sound system. I think he is unique.

Lightning Bolt SLAYED my fucking FACE and MELTED it all over my PANTS in Newcastle a couple of months ago. That was some of the most insane drumming I've ever seen, and some of the noises that the bass player emits are fucking unholy. I had a nice spot on top of all their flight cases from where to witness the gig. The drummer has earplugs and industrial noise earmuffs. Great to just appear out of nowhere like that and do THAT. Wow. Not crap!

I must admit, as much as I was blown away by the live experience, I wasn't moved to get a record. I really felt like it wouldn't translate. It's not a good feeling when you've seen a band and got a record and its a let down. See also: Hanged Up, Sunn o))...

I was skint anyway, but if I could've bought a record that night it would've been The Unit Ama's.

But live, Lightning Bolt destroy.

Amazingly mindblowing live, but not something you can sit at home and listen to i think.
