This is a great record but it came out in the middle of 2005, along with the Solid Pony record (same band plus Lenny on guitar and vocals). Rich is the only person from 12 Hour Turn in the band. John lives in Portland, OR and plays in Old Growth. Dave and Matt are not really playing music right now. I am a bastard for pointing this out, but I can't help myself sometimes.

In no particular order

Frank Zappa - Trance-Fusion
Cheer-Accident - What Sequel?
OOIOO - Taiga
Mogwai - Mr Beast
Albert Lee - Roadrunner
Stochelo Rosenburg/Romane - Gypsy Guitar Masters
Uzeda - Stella
Mike Keneally Band - Guitar Therapy Live
V/A - An Idiot To Not Appreciate Your Time

That's about it...Maybe I would add 'III' by the Fucking Champs, but I haven't listened to it enough to make the call yet.

I hate not playing by the rules, plus, there's something, like, six more Tuesdays left in 2006. In any event...

Parts & Labor - Stay Afraid

They Shoot Horses, Don't They? - Boo Hoo Hoo Boo

Current 93 - Black Ships Ate the Sky

Mission of Burma - The Obliterati

Boris - Pink

I think that's it. There's more than enough room for albums I've yet to hear like the new STNNNG album, and I was hoping to hear the new TG album in this year, doesn't look like it's going to happen.

What label is this on/link?

as ant man bee mentioned, the label is on abcgroup documentation - www.abcd2.org - I ordered all my stuff via pamlico sound, but it looks like maybe that mail order site is down at the moment(?).

Holy Sons is Emil Amos, who is also in the lovely band Grails, on Neurot. www.holysons.com - there are some free dls there. Also www.myspace.com/holysons

Really? Here I was thinking that it's been a pretty crap year for records.

These records are the only ones that I think qualify as "great":

Thermals "The Body The Blood The Machine"
Fucked Up "Hidden World"

These records fall just short (or perhaps are, but are just not speaking to me right now) of "great":

Mogwai "Mr. Beast"
Sonic Youth "Rather Ripped"
Planes Mistaken For Stars "Mercy"
Joe Lally "Here To There"
The Evens "Get Evens"
Channels "Waiting For The Next End Of The World"
Mission Of Burma "Obliterati"

These records weren't totally solid all the way through, but still had a couple jams:

Daughters "Hell Songs"
The Bronx "II"

These records were totally abysmal:

Rye Coalition "Curses"
Mastodon "Blood Mountain"

I've still yet to hear the new Uzeda , Melvins, Young Widows, or STNNNG.
