I'm gonna add:

Malcolm Young (I still like Angus but Malcolm is the man.)
Zoot Horn Rollo (along with John French, Beefheart's right-hand man, no matter how much Beefheart denigrated his immortal contributions - one of the great slide players, too, if only for "Big Eyed Beans From Venus"...oh my oh my.)
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.

Seconded, and not to put the importance of technique above the end result but the fact that most if not all of his guitar work is fingerstle is pretty impressive.


Hasn't he seen a good share of space in Guitar Player and
other...afficionado...magazines?
Seems like he has; in the '80s, at least.
