The film was was good but I think it is being a tad overpraised. As for the ending. While it may be appropriate for a novel, it completely dilutes a suspenseful climax one is hoping for in a film.

i saw it last week.. thoroughly enjoyed it, have to see it again. I too was a little put off by the ending, but it wasn't enough to diminish the brilliance of the film as a whole. I was curious however, if anyone has ever seen a silencer for a 12 gauge in real life?
and did anyone else have to sit through this??

Ugh it seemed like it went on forever and no one in the theater bought it. Horrible band, horrible song, stupid video, I'll never get that 4 minutes back. Then we had to suffer through 7 previews. 30 total minutes of marketing.. ohh the humanity.

This is one of the best films I've seen in years. Fucking perfect.
The Coen Bros. can do no wrong. Absolutely incredible.

There was this "ultimate badass" guy with a funny haircut. His coin-toss speeches were cool as hell. There was a lot of jolting violence and the whole thing looked gorgeous. I don't care what it supposedly means, I enjoyed it and thought about it for days afterwards.
What else do you need from a movie?
