Have a couple other (benign) things to say here but I just got hit by another wave of euphoria so my not-so-critical faculties are so-so all of a sudden.

But in the non-message board world, I'm all the better for it.

I love working hard and playing hard simultaneously...Being disciplined and indulgent at the same time. Lotta fun. Such a luxury to have the time to develop one's art, though I've certainly cut my corners, and so has Tony (he's not at all rich for instance, Vance - a bit of a cheap shot..did he ever say he OWNED that Studer? It's okay, really...I'm just sayin').

Oh and Steve, Don't hold Tony's use of the expression "sale" against him too much - promotion isn't his forte. Rather he's all about music. It's good tip, though.

The hundreds part, actually I think that's what sealed the deal.

Reading that litany of bad equipment is kind of depressing though. Makes me think of peopel out there -- scumbags, I mean -- who are duping kids out of a chance to make a good recording by taking their money in order to poorly document them. People who aren't actually qualified, I mean.

So glad you enjoyed my goof, but that really is my equipment. Sigh. That doesn't mean we can't make some big hits though. Send me your poems!

You might be a nice guy who is excited about your place, but this belongs on tapeop.com, not here. Your equipment, as advertised, is comparable to ours, and you are fishing for buisness on our website with lets make a deal offerings. Kind of stupid right?

listen. i mean no disrespect to EA. some of the best we have in the industry come in and out of there. but lets face it. bands are poor. people are poor. its expensive to make a record.

and i highly doubt that my studio is going to take away any buisness from steve or greg or anyone else at EA.

also i do think that the prices at EA are very reasonable for what you get. (one of the best studios in the world, imho).

Why? If they can record at your studio, they certainly can record here, with you engineering even.

and i run this special maybe twice a year till i get about 4 or 5 bands for it. kinda of a way to give something back to all the musicans and bands that have supported me and others i know over the years. times are rough. shouldn't i be able to give back something. and let some bands who other wise would have to go the laptop way a chance to record at an actual studio? and yes i have been a member since 2005. and just becuase i dont post doesnt mean i dont have an opinion, i just keep the negativity to myself. i mean shit are we not all in the same fucking club? i have been to some studios where they practically charge you to take a fucking shit in their bathroom. fuck that.
why can't a musican help out another musician? if EA was offened by my origianl post. i am sorry, but i would think that they dont really give a fuck, as i doubt that EA has to compete against anyone.

There are about 2 bands for every studio in Chicago.

Greg, if I may, I believe the reason Tony originally posted here is that I told him that there was some guy on the EA board who was spamming his studio in Milwaukee and who was going about it in a hopelessly immature way, and then I made the mistake of telling Tony, "It would be funny if everyone on there thought that that was you for some reason, seeing as how there aren't all that many studios in town."

Tony can answer for the rest, but I'm pretty sure it was an honest mistake on his part -- there's a fair amount of protocol here and much of it is learned from actually posting, y'know? Plus, Tony is, truth be told, developmentally disabled. He can't read! I can say anythign I want to about him here -- RIGHT HERE -- and unless his Aunt Ethyl relays it back to him, he'd never know that it wasn't glowing praise!

But yeah, lesson learned and all that.
