I've always wanted to pub-crawl Milwaukee.

Worth it?

If you select the right pubs, absolutely.

Except it would be within the borders of Wisconsin so it would be referred to as "bar hopping". Milwaukee ain't Birmingham or Liverpool so get with the lingo. That sort of shit can merit an ass whupping in Cudahay.

On a related note Wisconsin leads the nation in drunk driving so perhaps you should be driving to all these taverns. This ain't fucking state like Utah crippled under religious zealotry where only 9.5% of the citizenry drive wasted in any given year. We believe in freedom here and as a result 26.4% of us drove drunk in 2007 and only some of us got caught.

If you lose confidence during this "pub drive" and are in the right neighborhood, Milwaukee has a thriving cocaine trade. Get your hands on some of that towards the end of the night and you should be plenty alert to get back to your hotel to pace about your room for hours no matter how much you drank.

I watched a Ben Sheets complete game shutout at Miller Park then bar-hopped with two lovely ladies from roughly 9 PM until close, then continued to hang out until about 6 AM. Pretty excellent night.

Oh, were you talking to japmn?

We only ended up spending 1 night there. We got drunk and then went to the Lakefront Brewery for the tour. Probably should have re-thought the order of events because when we left we were toast. We ended up at some weird bar that I think was attached to a restaurant that looks like the set of some David Lynch film. The bar was all tile work and I think it had a huge chandelier.
Later we looked for food bout couldn't find any and ate hotdogs from a street vender. We went camping somewhere south of Madison the next night. It was fucking cold but we saw 12 million falling stars.

I like Wisconsin.
