Nice of all to say these things to me, and I appreciate it, but I'm mainly looking for suggestions of other things to include on the page, so...

Man, I missed everything being so caught up in whatever it is I was doing, and this makes me regret it.It was a very moving essay. I wish I'd given more time and more of my own limited resources to this guy and his project than I did when it mattered.Still, kudos for being memorialized, and being immortalized in creative work.Salut and Resquiat.

I made the mistake of reading that while at work, and sure enough, I got choked up. This is a very accurate take on how John's experience affected many of us. I don't know if it's an option, but it might be cool to have a song from The Strain play on the page, or a clip of the song, or at least a link to one of the songs. It just seems fitting since his music was so central to his purpose. And again, thanks for this, Steve.

John's YouTube page is worth a link, especially this clip:

steve wrote:Nice of all to say these things to me, and I appreciate it, but I'm mainly looking for suggestions of other things to include on the page, so...In the sense that your writing speaks of giving a community to the isolated - do you think it might be worth adding a link to some kind of cancer support community? I guess it might be difficult to select the right one from the outside. Not to be a band-aid to the conscience, but someone moved by the writing might appreciate something to do now - a link to donate to something JG3's family want supported perhaps.Mundane suggestions but it's a stirring read, and it might translate more easily into worthwhile action if the next step is obvious.

I agree that Steve's eulogy/tribute should be the main thing, with the links to PRF thread, bandcamp, facebook, pictures, etc. at the bottom. That said, maybe in that bottom area there should be a further links page taking people to Everett True's post, Daily Swarm obit, and anything else that gets put out, so that it's all in one place.

If you want to add any more photos, I've got quite a few from that day.
