For me, the Strychnos record, the Phobophilic record , the Mizmor/Thou collab, and the Gudsforladt record all stood out.

The new Darkthrone is pretty decent but I’ve only listened once all the way through. Not sure if it’ll withstand repeat listens.

Their classic from my youth was Northern Hyperblast.

Their classic from my youth was Northern Hyperblast. Pairs well with Cryptopsy's None So Vile.

Can’t get enough of this band. This sort of music used to be way outside my wheelhouse but now it makes a whole lot of sense.

I’d be happy to listen to every album they’ve released. Haven’t heard a bad one.

Not very into modern metal.

This Florida (?) band called Capsule. In the first decade of the new millenium they released a couple of awesome and super technical math metal records.

Mike Hill's Anodyne were great.

This "Sludge" band called 16 have been releasing awesome records since the earley 90's. They still alive and well and last thing I've heard from then was dope.
