Have you ever heard Bedhead?
If not, consider making 2008 your official year of Bedhead love.

I would start with Bedhead but frankly, it's all amazing. Lots of folks seem to think Transaction De Novo was their crowning achievement but I like all three records equally.
TNY is definitely a continuation of sorts. There's more pace and quite a lot of piano but it's a similar formula. Took me a while before TNY clicked but once it did, I got really into it. With TNY, start with the first record Newness Ends.
The Kadanes also inspired this forum! I believe they had a hand in the creation of Rank!, Crap/Not Crap and also the Fake Italian dialect among other things. Matt also played lovely keyboards on the last couple of SKWM records.

This order:
Transaction De Novo (Bedhead)
The End is Near (TNY)
What Fun Life Was (Bedhead)
Newness Ends (TNY)
Beheaded (Bedhead)
Dark Ages EP (Bedhead)
4songcdep (Bedhead)
Bedhead was the best band of the 90s.
The End is Near is basically as good as any of the Bedhead albums, if that gives you an idea of how good TNY is.

The Kadanes invented Crap/Not Crap, as far as I know.
I can't remember how Rank came about. That might have been joint invention between them and us.
Fake Italian, it just _is_.

Won't be done for a while tho.
Note to self: Continue living.
New LP will be out September 9, 2008. Continue living 'til then.
6 songs mixed, 4 more to go. Lots more guitar than the last one, if you can believe it.
Will be called either
House Of Blankets or
Tusk II or
Spark It Up, Sparky!.

I read
this interview an hour or two ago. Now Gasoline will not leave my head.
My friends didn't like them at all when they opened for Shellac in Dallas. I try to sneak the second record on every once in a while when they're around and they usually like it.

I wish I could write a song as beautiful as "18." Only saw them once at the T&G. Good to know they have a new record coming out.
