They didn't know what team to put me on, so they kept creating new positions for me. I eventually was taken aside by the CTO to do some experimental work. I spent 10 months there doing shit all other than experimenting on ideas that never turned into anything, being thrown on teams that didn't need me.
This is ringing a little true for my new-ish job. The people around me are good, but I’m not sure the company overall had much of a plan for us new hires. It’s ok, and I can probably hang for a while, but this talk of more manual work also kinda makes me want to go beg the new sourdough bakery down the road to hire me..
