After last night:
Simpsons: Still great, despite what you've heard.
Family Guy: Great again, but still no Simpsons.
American Dad: Still Crap, but less crap than the first episode.
TV Show: Family Guy
42i mean, they even had the greased naked guy
He's actually a greased, deaf naked guy. Listen to the way he talks.
Not crap.
I really, really like Family Guy.

43Family Guy has its moments. More than the average non-animated sitcom, which isn't saying much.
It also has some really bullshit, lazy writers. Most of the jokes seem arbitrary, like they had the joke first, and then they had to force it into the episode. It doesn't matter how chopped up the show seems, as long as they get to cram all their jokes in there. And the percentage of jokes that work for me is pretty low.
The Simpsons has suffered from this joke-forcing in recent years, but not nearly as much as Family Guy.

44Oh yeah, and another thing:
Last night's Family Guy - a chase scene involving Mel Gibson and a stolen reel of film.
Last night's American Dad - the wife gets a job as a realtor.
OK.

Why do you make it so scary to post here.

45I liked a moment in The Passion 2: Chris Tucker and Jesus are riding around in a convertible, about to jump a train, when Chris Tucker says, "For the Son of God you sure are a Son of a -" (cut to car jump).

46i saw some of this show in a motel the other night, and it made me laugh about every ten or fifteen seconds
i guess that means not crap

48This show relies too often on flashbacks and "what if" scenarios. I find this pretty cheap. Really, next time you see this show..count how many of these scenes are put in. They're like little comedic ideas that they couldn't fit into the show..so they make little tiny worthless scenes for them. "This is almost as intense as that one time I forgot how to sit down." *cuts to scene showing Peter staring at a chair..then diving into it..not very funny.*
This is what shows like Robot Chicken are for..little ideas.

493 shows into the new series, and only one of the shows has been memorable. Things better improve. I'm pretty disappointed.
On a bizarre note, The Simpsons was actually very good last night - they did a skit of the whole Protestant vs Catholic thing and it made me laugh out loud a lot - something which hasn't happened with new Simpsons episodes for years.

i completely agree. that was only the second episode i've seen all season because of work and i was extremely surprised that it was actually funny. i thought perhaps 13 years of catholic school were why i liked it but i'm glad to see someone else enjoyed it as well.
