I think everyone had a great time at the party, they just get pissy on the internet.

The story of pockets was pretty hilarious, though.

I gotta say, my favorite part of this thread was when someone said you'd be OK if you passed out on the sidewalk on North Ave in Humboldt Park. That is priceless.

It turns out the only person who got pissy wasn't even at the party and has no idea what actually happened.

I enjoyed meeting a bunch of you guys. Aces.

Well I can tell you this our landlord loved the bungee bit. In fact he commented that it was the funniest thing he'd seen in a while. So some positive out of a negative: this made our landlord smile and lightened his mood so maybe I can persuade him to let us have another down the road.

One thing that sucked about our party: I couldn't and didn't even get drunk at all since I was running around like a idiot all night taking care of shit and running sound. It was still fun though. Thanks for coming everyone...

I too enjoyed this party immensely, even after being electrocuted. Thank you Bear Claw for hosting such an exciting and controversial event.

(My favorite part of the night was watching a dude at the liquor store down the street try to pass off a fake $10.)

statements are not equivalent. "OK" != "better off".
One would be better off being robbed/beaten than shot/stabbed. One would not be "OK" either way.

I've known Doug for about 7 years. I can understand the tying. I've never seen him violent when drunk and I've seen him drunk countless times but if people said he was punching people then fine. But it makes me sad that people were kicking him and pouring beer on him after he was passed out. That just seems mean and pointless.

I think the moral we all should take away from this is that Lansingers don't belong in Chicago. Sorry, Chicago!

Just to clear up some confusion, I wanted to point out the fact that punching people in the back is how we say "Hello" in Lansing.

sounds good, i'll be in lansing on november 1st. if that's how you say hello, how do you say good bye? or if you're fighting, maybe you go about it by saying "hello"..."goodbye"..."hello"..."goodbye"...etc, until the one person is left standing?

can't wait to play in lansing again, we had a blast last time.

First, let me just state that I was about as far from this party as one could possible get. Other side of the Pacific to be specific. (oh! snap!)

However, reading through this, I wonder if this whole thing isn't a bit confused, I mean, it seems like everyone was fairly inebriated at this party, and could nudging someone with your foot be misinterpreted as kicking by someone else who isn't quite viewing things with sober eyes? Also, could accidentally spilling beer on someone you were trying to wake up be viewed as pouring beer by someone else?

I mean, POG didn't come home with broken ribs and bruises and completely soaked in beer did he?

Kind of hard to imagine people at a feel good post T&G party just suddenly getting all hooligan and kicking a passed out drunk person.

Not saying one thing one way or the other here. Just asking.

Oh, and "pockets" is so NOT CRAP as a name for Arson Smiths brother. Absolute quality that.
