I haven't had amazing entrees there, but their chocolate bread pudding is insane--caramel drizzled on top and hardened by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Consensus on Pequod's, Hot Doug's, the Gale Street Inn and the Viceroy.

Mia Francesca
Bob San for sushi
San Soo Gab San for Korean bbq
the brunch at Cafe des Architects is delicious and gorgeous

Oh, and they make sandwiches at Pastoral cheese shop on Broadway (not too far from Reckless) that are one of my most favorite bites in town. You'd think a girl would get sick of caprese sandwiches after eating 400,000+, but no. Fresh basil pesto, excellent mozzarella, good tomatoes and great crusty bread.

First off, fuck Sultans.

Karyns Cooked on wells is probably the best in the city. Its vegan and awesome.
Soul Veg at 75th and State rules.
Chicago Diner is pretty good.
Flying Saucers biscuits and seitan gravy, ate it this morning. I pretty much live above this place anyway.
Hot Doug's veggie corn dogs for lunch yesterday.
Bite's veggie nachos for dinner last night.
Green Zebra sat across from Billy Corgan the first time I ate there.

I like their kibbeh, and their falafel sandwiches. Their hummus is really good too, I agree.

Is Cousin's still around? That place was good.

What is the name of the Middle-Eastern restuarant across from Kamehachi on Wells? I loved their food, especially the falafel sandwiches.

The name is Old Jerusalem. Love this place. 1st place I ever had a falafel sandwich in Chicago, probably 27 years ago.

When I went to O'Banion's, I used to go there all the time. When the Zero Boys played O'Banion's, we picked up falafel sandwiches for them from here.
