OK, I've got $300 of holiday money to spend and am bumping for any pricing advice I can get to aid in my Ebay quest.

yea cracked cymbals rule. i've always liked using ride cymbals as crashes, but they don't really hold up very long when used like that. lately i've been way into stacking my two old zildjian 22" rides on top of each other. they are both pretty destroyed. there are not cracks, but rather big chunks missing. i get a really short and trashy sound out of them. to me traditional crash and ride sounds have been getting pretty boring. i'm leaning more towards broken stuff, weird bells, trash can lids, etc.

trilo - i'm in philly, and may have a few busted up cymbals that i don't need anymore. PM if you're still interested.

Any crash under 18" is going to be less than useful in a loud rock band.I like crashes to be 20" or larger, preferably with the word "Ride" stenciled on them somewhere, but right now I have two 18" crashes. Now let me preface this by saying I'm no expert. I play guitar. Poorly. I definitely own cymbals though.If you're buying new (er, new), Sabian SR2s are pretty friggin' amazing deals. Where it's very hard to tell what you're actually getting into if you order one blind, mycymbal.com's demo videos are extremely useful. clickety.And I very much agree that the key to buying used cymbals is patience. I managed to sell 4 B8s and replace them with real cymbals for less money when I was in no particular hurry to do so:-14 New Beat hats (70s vintage I guess? Hollow logo. I dunno. I play guitar) - $15-20 AA Medium ride (crash #1) - $90-what I assume is a Sabian crash of some vintage (S stamped. 18. Relatively light, but shockingly durable. I hit like I can't play because I can't play, and it hasn't broken yet. Also, it sounds great. Crash #2.) - $25-22 Z custom ride (nuts to you haters, this is a ferocious rock ride) - $60I would be lying or deaf if I said my cymbals are especially well matched, but they work for me and I spent under $200 on everything.Also, somewhat unrelated: I have owned a hearty pile of 602s and have thoroughly hated every one of 'em. Gimme a Zilco any day.

Never heard of Wuhans, but the price is very tempting
