Okay, this is ridiculous, but... I have one unused, new condition white Tusq XL string tree, which I don't need. I do need one black Tusq XL string tree, however. If you have a single new-ish black Tusq XL string tree, I am happy to trade you my new white one in exchange. Or buy it. I just don't see buying two new when I only need one. Now, in this I'm splitting hairs here over like $5.00 or something... But if I buy the 2 pack of black Tusq XL string trees, I will have two string trees left over collecting dust. I know I'm being a little Larry David here, but I just hate buying & accumulating things that I don't need.

Got a small-box, 1969 plexi-type-but-metal-panel Marshall JMP 50 watt head I've been asked to sell or trade for a friend. This thing is proper. He's looking to get a couple of decent combo amps for his studio - AC30 / Deluxe type things. If anyone is searching for a vintage Marshall head and has similar to trade/part-trade let me know.

Faith, I guess? Ask other people to back the person as a decent human?Yeah, I figured it was a gamble. There are ads for trades on the Gear Page all the time. I think FM dokazaado has done a lot of trading. I ll see if he can chime in

Im on a nerdy horror blu ray group on facebook and sometimes we trade rare stuff with each other. It's all kinda on good faith, some people are known "good traders" some have never traded before. When I did my first trade I did it with a dude who had a good reputation on the group and posted often and wasn't just some dude who popped up to trade something. Since I had no previous trades I had to send first, but I messaged the dude a photo of my receipt from USPS with a tracking and than a few hours later he did the same. I have never been burned.I know there have been people ripped off in the group, but it is usually from some shady person that made your radar go off: offering something rare and a super stupid price, stock photos, etc. Trust your gut, use common sense, etc.
