Worst city to raise a child: Neverland Rance
I really disliked Tucson, Arizona.
It's sad how drugs permeate EVERTYTHING that goes on in that city.
Basically, anyone in their twenties was a casual user of something or another. Sick place to live.

jackson, MI is by far the shittiest city i've ever been to. it's worse than green bay. it's worse than toledo. and it's way fucking worse than detroit.
maybe you have to be from michigan to love detroit, but there's no other place like it that i've ever seen in the u.s. (exept maybe flint, and the former mining towns of calumet and ishpeming in the upper peninsula). detroit is a modern day fallen empire. and at one time the richest, most prosperous city in the world. as beutiful and interesting to look at as the acropolis of athens. not to mention it is home to one of the best polish-american neighborhoods ever, hamtramck. i'd really like to elaborate more on detroit's current greatness and former glory, but i have to go to work. so, in closing, if you hate detroit, look again. and if you still hate detroit, well, suck my cock.
p.s. the three worse thing to ever happen to detroit: coleman young, dutch elm disease, and mexican labor.

Oh, gutting! I don't know how much time you've spent here, but this is a cool little town; great food, cheap to live, and there's a lot going on--good music (Calexico, Giant Sand/Howe Gelb, Red Switch, the Jons, Amor, Nick Luca Trio etc etc) and more bands are starting to come through. I really don't know what you're talking about, specifically, w/ the drugs thing- are they available? Yes, we're an hour away from Mexico.
Someone mentioned Phoenix-I can't defend that place! Everyone from PHX comes down here

50 square miles of ghetto that, due to "Engler's Acts" which cut funding to so many mental institutions, is basically a haven for schizoids and derelicts who rome the streets freely without course or reason. If sight-seeing for anyone consists of viewing a man dragging a wheelchair through the snow with his pants at his ankles, in the middle of a divided hiway, slobbering on himself when it is 17 degrees out, then I recomend visiting. There is the eery feeling that when you are in Detroit, though you may not see anyone out, there is most certainly some one watching you.
Fucking Dirthole!
I love and hate Detroit. Spent my formative years there. Funny the shit you'll do at 17-25 that I'd never try now. Fuck we were crazy(lets go score a bag of grass at 6 and Woodward!). Some of the shit we did defies reason.
Detroit "Firsts":
Crack
Car Jacking
151s
Firsts as far as I know anyway. Wow, what a town.

Wow....that's pretty bad.
I can't fucking stand Green Bay. The stink, the racist mulletted hicks, the lack of any redeeming geographic or cultural features. Just a stinking steaming pile of shit (literally).
It's also pretty fucking sad when the only single thing anyone has to be proud of their city is a goddamn professional football team that's seen far less glory than embarassment. Every stupid form of self expression up there is some form of reference to the Packers - be it mailbox, vehicle, advertisement, clothing, etc.... just pathetic!

I agree with this, to bring an old thread back to life. It is (like Gary, IN) a ghost town of the industrial age.
It's also funny how even when a hundred thousand kids show up for the DEMF, the town is still less-crowded then Chicago on a normal afternoon.
A friend of mine who live in Detroit commented upon his first visit to Chicago, "this place is just like Detroit, except there are people here!".
OK.
Orlando is worse than Phoenix, and Tampa Bay is (perhaps) worse than Orlando. But it's hard to say.

1) Albion, Michigan (although at 10,000, it is only a city in official terms)
2) Richmond, Indiana
3) Jackson, MI
4) Shelbyville, TN
5) South Bend, IN
Just speaking from personal experience here.

Philadelphia is the worst big American city because it could be much better than it is, yet it refuses to be better. It quite simply refuses. Sure, others are dirtier and all, but Philly is willfully refusing as a whole to be better.
I could continue, but I will not.
