if you don't have a copy of "Desolation Boulevard" by Sweet, do yourself a favor and check it out.
It is kind of cheesey, but in a totally rocking and good way. Recorded quite well for its time too. And you get the hits "Fox on the Run" and "Ballroom Blitz" - which you are guaranteed to enjoy.

Galanter, not sure what you mean by Hard, but Joy Division and New Order combined guitars and synths pretty well.

We played with a band in NYC called
Team Robespierre. Two synths, guitar, bass, and drum machine. Kinda like the Screamers meets Godflesh with hardcore vocals.
