Half of the maple in front of our house came down. We were so lucky the thing came down in the street and not on my house. It landed where three empty parking spaces were, so only one person was unfortunate enough to come home to a wrecked car.

My boss just informed me that were supposed to get it just as good this afternoon, and that I should send people home appropriately.

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed. My hopes were up. I'm going to go drink on a porch to celebrate what appears to be my recent breakup.
