I first met Brad at a show we played with .22 at Cal's back in 2005, before I lived in Chicago. We reconnected at the Drug Church BBQ, I see this guy coming up to me wearing a button-up shirt and khakis, straight up business casual attire in that 95 degree 100% humidity room, and introduces himself, we hit it off, then had that "oh yeah" moment that we'd already met 5 years earlier.

Any time on here or on FB when we were semi-unseriously yelling at each other about the right way to cut a pizza or whether ketchup can go on a hotdog or if a particular planet is stupid or whether wearing shorts and flip flops on stage is uncouth, as we are wont to do in these spaces, he would PM me and say "you know I'm joking here, we're still friends, right?"

I'm still in shock about this and have been breaking down on an hourly basis since I woke up. I can't make sense of it. All I can say is you are loved, the world is a better place with you around, and don't quit.

I was unsure if that was suicide directly or years of self-medicating that caught up (kind of splitting hairs there I realize).
My understanding was that it was the latter.
Sincere apologies, I was apparently misinformed or misremembered. I truly apologize if my getting this wrong caused anyone any pain or dragged up old unpleasant feelings.

Either way very sad to lose so many of our friends for difficult and sometimes incomprehensible reasons.

I was debating if should post this or not, but it seems like a lot of people are still wondering about it. Whilst It's totally understandable that people might think that it was suicide, Amanda died of heart failure and passed away in her sleep. No drugs or alcohol were in her system.I could say more about it, but now's probably not the time.

Ok here is a good Mandroid story...

So early on in the hifi we would bring a video crew with us, the crew was Tyler and James and once Tyler and Manroid started dating she would come along too. Tyler was Mandroids first husband. It should be noted that Tyler was a saint of a human when sober, dude worked with the disabled and whipped more asses than you can imagine. But when he got some substances in him things could get weird, not bad like he was never "violent" but he had a cult leader charisma and would just cause chaos all the time. Most nights the 6'1 115 lb James would just get very drunk and and we would find him in the fetal position under a pool table or behind a video game.

So the hifi take two vans to go to play a show in Shawano, Shawano is a shithold town in the middle of WI, it has a nice lake and that is it, it is a town you leave once you hit 18 if you are smart enough to escape. I am in the van with the video crew and were are drinking the whole way there, Tyler was driving and stayed sober. We are playing a all ages club so no booze inside the club. So we go across the street to the townie bar. The townie bar patrons are NOT happy us freaks from the city are in their place and they make it known. But we got money so they give us a bunch of beers, but we are getting constant looks. James is trashed.

Eventually Amanda finds the juke box, she puts on Hava Nagila like 7 times, the song must have been on one of those "party CDs" that they used to sell. We wait, eventually it comes on. No notices, until like the 4th time. Then all the sudden EVERYONE notices. So we start dancing like crazy, the opening bands join in and it is clearly a us against them moment... Then we realize the bar does not know how to shut off the jukebox for some reason, like I am not sure how that shit was rigged, but the bartender was pissed. We are still dancing our asses off, Mandriod was dancing on a table. Tyler got on the bar and then someone chased him out with a pool cue...

So we all leave... and then we can't find James. Dude slept behind a Golden Tee game for the whole thing. Madroid marched back into the place found James...

I'll get to the time She got married on the Hifi tour and the time she set me on fire later.

"violent" is in quotes because I did once see him slap a bunch of hippies with a 3 foot dildo at a party once... so... eh.
