I think they are NOT CRAP.

They fall into a giant category of music whereby I wouldn't listen to their music but I enjoy what they are trying to do immensely. They upset a lot of people that need upsetting.

These band, these cocorosie, are playing at Carnegie Hall.

I had the displeasure of witnessing Cocorosie live in February '05, when it opened for Antony & The Johnsons. Cocorosie is horrible and worthless and abysmally shittty bullshit that sucks many dirty dicks. Crap.

I hate everything about them. Particularly their audience. Particularly whatever impulse went off in Corey Rusk's head that forced him to put out their records. I hate that impulse so damn much. I would like to locate that impulse and force its family to sign the appropriate documents so that we may immediately commence with the electroshock therapy.

I was recently introduced to somebody who, upon finding out that I was a Nina Nastasia-obsessive, recommended that I check out Cocorosie. She has clearly found an unknown link between brilliant and suck-ass.

They are far beyond crap. They are crap with corn in it. two fugly broads makin fugly sounds.

Coco Rosie, Devendra Banhart, Jana Hunter, Castanets and everyone else who looks like a hippie and sings about birds and fairies and writes songs that could have been written in the 20's...you are CRAP.

2006 was a great year. Lots of good people came and stayed with me. Several BBQs of variable success were shared. But the finest social moment I had was when Cocorosie took the stage and made my heart swell. At least until that horrible French rap started. I don't know why people like some things and not others, and it is fine if you don't like them, but I hope you guys like something as much as I do Cocorosie. Their music sounds like unconditional love to me.

Ladies, if you ever read this, please to have no more rap.

I'm suprised they get such extreme responses. I feel pretty neutral about them. To me it sounds like mellow MOR stuff for NPR morning radio. Lucious Jackson meets Cat Power at Borders Books and Music. I'll say not crap but I don't see myself spending any money on their recordings, when I can go the supermarket and hear muzak.
