I have become completely obsessed with this band. It's literally all I've been listening to lately. I'm no wussy puss, but this music has actually brought me to tears on a few occasions. It's genius and beautiful and weird and I love it.
Their new record coming out soon is amazing, and I never use that word.
The live stuff I've found from them just blows me away...they never seem to play a song the same way twice...I'll get halfway thru a song before I realize it's a strange version of something off the record...
I just found a version of Damien Jurado's 'Ohio' they recorded and it's just a wonderful piece of music all around. I hope noone overlooks this band as New York girl folk bullshit without really giving it a chance, I didn't think much of the first record at first either...then it just kinda hit me after a few times of listening to it....and man, it has really hit me since...

i'm going to add that it is the most physically challening music i've ever heard. listening to it feels like rubbing my inner ear with barbed wire.

I'd say it's the most unlistenable album Touch and Go has ever released. It's pure audio hell.

I do listen to it once every five months or so, wondering how on earth something could sound so horrible. I have to admit that I find it somewhat intriguing, even though I really dislike them. Their new album on the horizon has me dreading what's next.

The new record is really good, trust me...seek out the title track and I dare you not to like it.
