62Interesting. Didn't know Carver did guitar oriented stuff. We have a integrated amp/receiver at home and I've used their 'pro' power amps in the past.Didja find this on the googles yet?http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=113982.0

ZT Amps are small, loud, pretty neutral, and handy. But think about all the other rad shit a person could get for $1,500. That's like four peavey Vintage 30 amps! That's like fifteen Peavey Bandits!

64If you wait long enough, everything shows up on the resale market. Thank you, Reverb! There were literally zero Minifooger Chorus pedals online the other day when I realized that they'd discontinued the line. I'm on a mission to only use Minifooger pedals, & was shy the Chorus & Flange to make a complete collection; the Chorus has become especially rare. But voila, it appeared, I offered what I could afford & now it's mine. That said, yes, those Ranaldo ZTs are quite the specialty item & won't be popping everywhere for 75% off like Gibsons with robot tuners... I can't really justify it - just think it's real purty! I will probably get a Yamaha G50 or G100 before a Ranaldo ZT, anyway (although those Yamahas are heavy as FUUUUUUUUCK, even if they're like $1,200-$1,400 less)

I just think it sounds really cool & looks really cool & has a lot of features that are useful & you could probably carry it on the subway, too... Also I'm guessing that price in resaleland reality will be a LOT less... A man can dream. 'kay?BTW, my lightweight setup (which is a bi-amp setup driven by two Vox MV50s - Rock & AC models - not exactly ss, not exactly not - into two 1x12 Thiele cabs) has gotten a lot less lightweight. The absurdly massive magnets in the speakers “ a Hempdog & a Scumback H75 PVC 65W, respectively - weight 16 lbs each!!!!!

It's just an amp that I have a greater set of doubts than you seem to about the odds of it turning up on the resale market. That said, I can get the dream. It's just that reality is right there giving you the gas face on this particular amp.

70ZT's sound great but the build quality is mediocre. My college roommate knew some of the guys from the company and I was able to grab it for cheap, if I had to pay full price I'm not entirely sure I would make the jump.
