So for anyone not in the know about Miracle Condition, here's your chance.
We are playing a show tomorrow night with them and the fabulous Columbines.
This is a very PRF-centric show to say the least.
A EA forum member is promoting the show, 2 of the bands contain regular forum posters. Then there's Miracle Condition, which contains 1/2 of the original US Maple lineup.
This should be a fun evening of music and debauchery.
I hope everyone here can show, it'll be nice to add a few more names to 'the people I've met' thread.
This is our second time playing with each of these bands and I can assure you they both rule something fierce.
For anyone that has seen BBGS play, we are playing a lot of new songs at this show. One we wrote the other day and will have practiced a grand total of once before the show.

Goddammit!

I went to go see Singer at the Media Club here in Vancouver last night, and a sign on the very locked door read "Singer - Cancelled".

I believe the tables have officially turned... it is now harder for a U.S. band to play up here than it is for Canadians to play in the 'ol US of A. That never used to be the case.

I'm just assuming it was the border BTW. If anyone has more specific details as to why the no show, do tell.

As a transplanted Sarnia/Windsor dude who spent his teens and early twenties rocking out to Chicago bands touring Detroit, I am very saddened these guys didn't make it here. Damn.

The first Time I heard Talker. I distinctly smelled burning clutch. No one else in the room could smell it. Every time I hear US maple now I smell that smell. Its some wierd synesthetic thing that has only happened to me one other time before.

Shippy is giving guitar lessons now from what I hear, says to contact him through the Miracle Condition website if anyone's interested.
He's a seriously nice guy and a phenomenal guitar player, if you are in the market for some guitar learnin' I'd say jump on that shit.
