I mentioned this in another thread, and it happened again today.
I listen to podcasts on Spotify and today I got int my car and Spotify started up (it connects to the bluetooth automatically and plays) and it was a Joe Rogan show. I have not once ever listened to Joe Rogan on Spotify.
Truly pathetic behavior,
whatever the reason.
promoting a doctrine of white supremacy. that's the reason.

Xiu Xiu & deerhoof have jumped ship in protest of helsing drone tech.
Drones that are saving lives in Ukraine.
Maybe they aren’t ready to hear that. But it’s true.
I can think of hundreds of problems with Spotify but that’s not one of them.

Dunno if I followed up on this but I contacted Spotify about this issue. Of course it had no explanation as to why but it told me to uninstall and reinstall the app. This worked for six or so months, but it happened again recently, and someone else I know said this has happened to him.

Return the whole dam car!
Honestly it’s just a thing they do. When one show ends it’ll play whatever it thinks you want to hear next. Does not matter if you’re a subscriber or not.

Where have gone the days of a SoulSeek + Winamp combo? Nowhere for me, still doing it.
I hate the fact that my daughter uses it, but it's my ex wife that pays for it, so whatever. But still not good.

OK so I got my "2025 Wrapped" today and it's total and complete bullshit. I have no idea how they gathered what they did, but I purposely played a particular track a LOT between January and today with the intent of testing this, and it didn't even make my top 5. My number 5 track, there is no way I listened to it more times than this track. Maybe they only are scraping certain time periods...And the format for Wrapped is shit now.

This doesn't happen at the end of a show, it happens when I'm listening to music.

Does Apple Music actually have a true shuffle feature?
there is a shuffle feature. are you asking if it's truly random? that is up for debate.
I don't want random, I want shuffle. Random could result in the same track being played forever. With shuffle that can't happen.

by that definition it is neither. It’s pseudo random to prevent repeats and clumps.
(At least it feels that way to me and most users)

After Spotify raised its price again I finally made the switch to Apple Music. There is a data bridge that automatically asks if you want to carry your data from Spotify to Apple, so all playlists and bands you follow or whatever are kept in tact. Made it super easy.
