I'd like to thank my cushy shoes for the help.
You deliver hope for us all. Plantar fasciitis can get fucked.

Recording an album overnight to save money used to also be a piece of cake…

Yesterday my left hand seized-up on me with an incredible amount of pain for more than a few minutes. Thought I was having a stroke.

Today I started looking at buying a new dish drying rack with peals of excitement.

-I use the handrails when going up or down stairs
-Checking the app for my bird feeder camera more than any social media apps
-I get super grouchy if there isn't enough "peace and quiet" in my day.

Yup. It's STIFLING now. Please be quiet, and please leave me alone. Feels like I'm always trying to re-establish boundaries.

I picked up on this from my across-the-street neighbor, a retired guy who is always tinkering in his garage and driveway. I can tell when he's got shit to do and doesn't want to be bothered-he gives me a certain casual turn and wave. Other days I can just tell by his stance that he's down bullshit with me.

oh man, this in spades. After all my years playing loud ass music and going to loud ass shows and 40 years working in a freakin' steel mill where you must wear hearing protection every day just to keep from going deaf...

I love my wife and children but I don't watch television of any kind and one is usually on in the house, and when no one is around it's glorious to just sit in a quiet room with a bourbon at hand and a sleeping cat on my lap.

^I've laughed/cried at this nearly every day for the past couple weeks.

I spent nearly 20 years delivering bottled water, gripping those 5-gallon bottles by the neck, so I aged a little early on the onset arthritis front, like early 30s. Slicing a roast can be torture.

I've said "gut health" with a straight face recently.

I did "yoga for lower back and hip relief" this morning.

I'm trying to catalog the stories I tell to specific people so I don't repeat them several times to the same person, but fuck man. I'm a 50yo dad, I'm only human!
