That house is ridiculous. Back in the early '80s, around the first time the "Treasures of King Tutankhamun" museum tour came around, this wealthy family built a pyramid-shaped house and opened a souvenir shop selling crappy Egyptian-style trinkets at an insane mark-up. Later, they covered the house in gold leaf and then added the big Ramses statue.

If you drive the tollway North towards Kenosha, Wisconsin from Chicago you can see the Ramses. It's just North of Great America. I personally don't think it's worth actually going to the house, doing the tour or buying any of their overpriced junk, but it's kinda cool to see it from the highway as you're driving along. "Just another roadside attraction".
