Neurosis cymbals sound

1
Hi
I just listened to a neurosis album that was recorded by steve (sorry but I'm not shure which one it is. I thing it's the one before the last one) and I felt in love with the cymbals sound.
I just wanted to know (if there's no secret how it was done). The drum is really from the room but the cymbals have a sustain I've never heard before, I think. The impact is beautiful and the sounds fade in so "natural" and unusual way compare to other records.
So if someone knows...

My pretty pony! Why, Zorak, why? You could have had any woman you wanted! But you chose the woman I love almost as much as I love myself! You ruined my life, you ruined her life, and now, I'm going to ruin your life!!!

Heh. Some of them.

Paiste 2002 24" Ride - this is my actual "ride", but it's also a crash.

Paiste Alpha 20" Power Ride - right side crash.

Paiste Innovations 22" Heavy Ride - left side crash.

1 Paiste 2002 22" Power Ride machined down to 17" and 1 Paiste Alpha 22" Power Ride machined down to 17" = hi-hats.

Wuhan Lion 22" china.

My face = slayed/melted by this statement. 17" hi hats! Made from Power Rides!

Slayed, I tell you. Melted even.
