This is a living parody of the Onion article about the Yankees buying every player in baseball. So far, they have gotten:

Vasquez (along with Guererro and Frank Robinson, a reason I had a soft spot for the Expos last year)
Lofton (which is why they can trade Soriano and still have a leadoff)
Kevin Brown
Tom Gordon
Gary Sheffield
Joe Girardi

And a half-dozen quality players they don't need.

They will be spending a multiple in salary of every team they face. If they don't win 110 games they are not getting their money's worth, which is probably how it will pan out.

A guy that fast could be a center fielder, and then they could finally slough off Bernie Williams.
