hello, i have a rectangular room where i tend to record drums and some guitars in. it is 10ft x 24ft and 7ft tall. its walls are covered in semi-gloss paint on sheetrock. the floor is carpet over concrete. no windows.

the room rigt now has bad reflections. it certaintly doesnt add anything good to my recordings and does not allow me to add any room or abience into the mix.

what can i put on these walls to make them sound better? i want the room to sound pretty dead, although some ambience would be great. id like to not have to frown everytime there is a drum solo and add shitty reverb plugins.

what materials would be good to get a good sounding room out of this place?
