You see, this is what happens when a country is as secular as NZ. NO FUCKING PANCAKES!!! Totally unfair...

This is the recipe I'll be using later (ideally to form smaller 5" pancakes, quite thick but light), can anyone improve on it? it's for sweet rather than savoury pancakes I might add. I'd think twice about seeing a band called Savoury Pancakes.

1 1/4 cups plain flour
1 egg
1 1/4 cups whole milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 heaped teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 cup vegetable oil - or half oil, half melted butter..I'll experiment
pinch of salt
