Which is the biggest sheep herder?

Relgion seems to take the cake ar first, being that religion and politics shoild never meet. And when they do, we get crap like Iran and prayer in school.
Sports- I remember reading a Noam Chomsky interview where he said that if people spent just a quarter of the time they spend obsessing over sports on what their government is doing, the world would be a better place.
T.V.- That move "They Live" may be more real than what we want to admit. And T.V. is the hole that excretes both sports and religion.

What about the internet since it offers all three?

not everybody can afford a TV, or have one, in all the world. same with enjoying sports... but you can find religion anywhere.

As a thought experiment, try getting rid of each of them and seeing what happens. Religion is the biggest deal, by far. I would definitely rather this world freed from religion than television. I don't really see sports as a problem. You know what else is a big opiate? Actual opiates. And other drugs. Still not as big as religion, but big enough to be on the list.

I'd say 'oppression' is the greatest opiate of the masses.

Religion - Responsible for wars, the spread of HIV and Aids and oppression of women. There are many more negative effects of religion.

TV - Mostly crap, but can be ignored. Curb Your Enthusiasm is on TV. It's good.

Sport - Fun to play and watch. Good for your health.
