Is it because they're kind of boring?

i've not seen them live yet but their 1st lp on stickfigure sounds like atlanta radio 4/gang of four.

NOT CRAP for being the only band in Atlanta to do something with their band, other than play our local bars.

They don't really break much ground musically, but they do have a lot of energy and their live shows are great. Along with the Black Lips, they're one of the best shows in town.

Pitchfork has been pimping them a little in recent weeks/months and Bradford's apparently involved in creating the soundtrack for the film adaptation of Where The Wild Things Are, so yeah, the hype could get kind of silly here really soon.

Still, good kids though and worth checking out.

"The Deer Hunter" is an unbelievably wrenching movie. I love and admire this movie. Therefore, to me, the band name "The Deer Hunter", in the right hands, would be a fantastic band name.

The band name "Deerhunter", on the other hand, is a Tuesday night in Tulsa.

we are going to see them tonight with the ponys in st louis...i like some of it...some of it, not so much...

Really, really, REALLY good live band. Cool fucking guys too.

the show tonight is free, i believe...its at the billiken club...anyone in the area should check it out.

Any band whose name's first five letters are "DEERH" is awesome.

Unless that band happens to be Deerhunter.
