Never used a dry cleaners. Is it worth it?

Seems like if you have a lot of suits or coats or just generally nice clothes that are dry clean only (and you bother to adhere to that rule) then it would cost a lot evertime you did your washing.

Dry Cleaners.

They got out a grease stain on my best pair of dress pants. For $4!

NOT CRAP.

I only use it for sweaters, during winter, on a semi-regular basis, and the odd coat.

I'm not fond of schlepping all my stuff to and fro, to be sure. I also idly wonder about pollutants and carcinogens.

I'll go with NOT CRAP, WF: 6 for unease of use and lifespan issues.

I don't use it very often, but I own a lot of suits that get worn often enough that deserve it.

Every now and then, I'll get my ever-growing collection of button-downs done just to make 'em crispy again, but that's just laundering, not dry-c.

not willing to risk it. I have a bunch of "three's" that have the silk back to the vest too, and that shit needs to be handled by someone who takes laundry more seriously than I. plus, I like the starched and ironed folds. they're the only articles of clothing that I feel the need to preserve.

Dry Cleaners.

The key is to wear a t-shirt and change out of your nice shirt as soon as you get home. You don't want to subject your clothing to a cleaning, dry or wet, every time you wear it.

I have actually never used a dry-cleaner, but if they can get this burrito stain out of my dry-clean-only coat they've earned their NotCrap.
