So Im looking for an a couple of guitar amp suggestions. What I need a is a set up for just sheer volume. Not really looking for great tone just volume. I have a Marshall JCM 900 and a CGM 4x12 cab, not doing the job obviously. Im thinking like running a half stack and a combo amp at the same time. Not opposed to solid state, cheap amps, peavey, etc. Loudest band I saw in a while just had a wall of Peavey combos and power amps. Also what is a more inexpensive route than an a/b switcher box?

An A/B switcher is 30 bucks. If you want cheaper, buy a Y-cable.
Old Peavy power amps are cheap. If you can run pre-out from whatever you use now, that will give you your watts.
You can still find Sound City 100w heads for a decnet price if you want an all in one guitar amp that actually sounds good.
Do you need more that 100w? What the hell are you doing?

Just a few minutes ago I fired up my Sound City SMF head. 150 or so watts. I hadn't turned it on in several years and someone is interested in it. Everything works except the midrange control for some reason. I don't have time to fix it.
But talk about loud. HOLY shit. It sounds a lot better than I remembered as well.
So yeah, Sound City does volume quite well for a bargain price. I'll sell this thing for pretty cheap.

YBA-3
If you don't care about sound, sell your Marshall and buy a sansamp and a 1000W power amp, and another speaker cab like a second 4x12 or a 2x15. That'll out volume anything any sensible person would ever need to do.
I would sell the Marshall, buy a YBA-3, and a second cab, probably a 2x15. You might break even, money-wise, although I don't know what JCM900's sell for.
Nobody needs to play guitar louder than that setup would get. Bass, sure you could need a bigger amp, but not guitar.

Seconded. This amp is unbelievably loud: Knees buckling at the joint, feel the bass in your chest with a topping of razor-blade treble kind of shit your pants and piss yourself loud.
I don't think the YBA-3's are the best for guitar (love them as bass amps) but they are no doubt face meltingly loud.

On the Cheap, go for a Sound City. The Mk3 100 watters are comparable to a Hiwatt w/o a Master Volume. The Mk4 120's with the active tone controls are a bit more powerful, but they don't sound as good as the Mk3's, however, if you're looking for volume you really needn't worry. You might want to check out the Sound City SMF Tour series that Zom-zom has, however I've not heard one. Another Sound City that you might want to look at is the Sound City 200. Again ,this is similar to a Hiwatt 200 but without a Master Volume.
The original Sunn Model T's have plenty of volume as well, though prices seem to be climbing.
On the expensive side, You'd do well to check out a Marshall Major which is another 200 watt amp. I've also known people that played guitar through Ampeg SVT's which produce a SHITLOAD of volume, so don't rule those out either.
