His in particular is about the nicest guitar i've ever played, but $6500 is a lot of cheddar and the whole $5000 bean thing seems to have been a passing fad. I looked for stress cracks on this one but couldn't find any. If you've got a colored artist or standard bean to trade him I know he creams for those.

Not a big deal IMO. From what he's posted over at the TB Board, seems like a down to Earth guy. I realize it's popular to bag on him here though.
I hope he gets all he can for it....whatever the Market will bare. It will do nothing but raise the value of the aluminum instruments we all own.
What's the big deal now that we have ECG?

whatever that guy is or do in real life,
i totally love what he do artisticly speaking, movies or music.
the fact that he may be a total egomaniac prick just doesn't count.
i've learned, after meeting some, to separate what an artist is from what he does...
i was a huge Pixies fan, and i was so disapointed when i get to meet
frank black and he behaved like a total moron with me....
and it happened at several occasions with others artists from " the scene ", more DIY bands...
that's just human nature, the fact that you play in a band or that you are a "personality" involve that you have to be nice and kind and a good guy ???
i'm not sure of that. prior to be artists or musicians, they are just men...in all their weakness !
