Me, I find this strange show absolutely hypnotizing. My favorite so far is "Manitee Spring."
TiVo is essential for skipping the commercial breaks, which are as unwelcome as a turd in a punchbowl.

2Amazing! I really dig the absence of narration. There used to be feeds of these shows on one of those TV Links sites that were recently closed down pending legal action. Such a shame. Probably the only compelling reason to get one of those ridiculous HDTVs.
Those of Bit Torrent savvy and incredible bandwidth can download a few episodes here.

4There was an episode this morning which was an hour of Chinese fishermen on slim bamboo rafts, fishing with trained cormorants. My daughter and I couldn't take our eyes off it...a welcome change of pace from Clifford's Puppy Days.

6Is good. Love it in HD On Demand. Nice and sparkly with no commercials. The most annoying parts of nature shows are removed.
There is an HD Yule Log on right now too.

The very first thing I watched the day after I got one of those ridiculous HDTVs was this show. It quickly became my customary way to wake up in the morning. Relaxing and hypnotic. And believe me, unless you're watching it in 42" of hi-def glory, you're not getting the full impact. The images of the Chinese cormorant fishermen on the Li (?) River are particularly stunning.

9Nature for people who can't be bothered to leave the house. Or, if you prefer, screen savers for High Definition morons. Either way, crap.

Animal Planet, even more so than other stations, seems to always have tons and tons of really annoying commercial breaks in all their shows.
