Crown GLM-100 and acoustic guitar

If you had to use one of these to mic an acoustic guitar where would you put it?

I'm actually playing a gig in New York next week and it's acoustic (I hate acoustic gigs). So anyways I want to use this mic on the acoustic guitar in addition to the "pickup" I have already installed. Getting a good live acoustic guitar sound has always been a bitch.

I was thinking of taping or inserting this baby somewhere. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

I work at a cafe that hosts a lot of acoustic music, and to my ears, the truest and best sounds have come from just sticking a mic in front of the acoustic, like they used to do.

The only times I've heard those pickups sound cool is when they're ran through fuzzed out electric guitar amps, and thats not quite the sound most people are trying to get with them.

I use these all the time for acoustic guitars as part of an ensemble, or when there will be singing and guitar simultaneously. Get yourself some thin double-sided adhesive tape, the thinnest you can find. I don't like the 1/8-inch thick foam stuff, though that will do in a pinch. Lay a 2-inch strip of it parallel to and butting right up against the bridge plate. Put the GLM on there, flat side down, with the capsule facing up right between the D and G strings. Run the cable to the bottom of the lower bout of the guitar and secure it to the top with a little gaffer tape. Works a treat.
