yeah the new chris brokaw is great but customs by joel rl phelps and the downer trio is the best album i have got this year.

the album he put out this year is actually the score for an independent film. the film is worth seeing too, if you ever have a chance. it has what (i am pretty sure this is right) was the last live performance by joe strummer before he died. and a bunch of live footage of seam, too.

'69/'82 are equivalent years in many ways. which is why they were chosen, i assume!

i don't know that i'm qualified to name one for this year, as i haven't listened to that many new records. i will be the 1,000th person to call out _the end is near_, however. i listened to that a whole bunch and vastly enjoyed it.
