You know, my brain is all screwed up today. I thought of Pink Flag, but for some reason, I had the drum thing from the title track in my head as the thing that starts the album even though it obviously isn't. I've listened to that album more times than I can count, and still I get confused. Same with Chairs Missing. I thought "Practice Makes Perfect" started with the guitar playing the part the bass is playing. I think something's wrong with me.
Good call and stuff.

7Doesn't Pink Flag start with guitar? Wasn't Graham Lewis the bass player anyways?
I would have voted for Entertainment! too. That's a good one. I'll go with What Makes A Man Start Fires? from the Minutemen.

nope...starts with a quiet, single note on the bass (eighth notes)...gradually builds then the guitar comes in with chords (whole notes) then there's a small build-up on the drums, same rhythm as the bass just before the "song" kicks in...
